RELEASE BLITZ + REVIEW: INESCAPABLE by C.J. Fallowfield

Title: INESCAPABLE
Author: C.J. Fallowfield
Genre: Suspensful erotic romance

My rating: 5 STARS

Haunted by the ghosts of her past, Alex Bishop flees to London, but soon finds that she can’t outrun her demons.

Reclusive billionaire Tate Castle enters her life as it begins to spiral out of control, and the primal attraction that flares between them knocks her world off its axis. His proposition seems to be the answer to all of her problems, but her acceptance will change their lives irreparably.

Suspense, drama, and passion follow them from the capital to his idyllic Caribbean hideout, as they struggle to reconcile their mutual desire with the deep emotional scars they bear.

Alex is quickly dragged back into her worst nightmare, where she has to fight for what she desires, and her very survival.

They learn the hard way that you can run, but you can never hide. Destiny is inescapable, it will always find you.

Inescapable is a standalone suspenseful erotic romance novel, with scenes of domestic violence that some readers might find upsetting.

It’s hard to find the right words to review Inescapable, a story inspired from CJ Fallowfield own personal experiences of domestic abuse.

When I received the ARC I didn’t know the that the story would be about that subject and I was really surprised. Some scenes are like a punch in the gut and I’ve found myself to close the book more than once.

This book is a rollercoaster of emotions. It made me cry and laugh, it made me angry and heartbroken, it made me swoon and fall in love. It’s one of that book that you couldn’t put it down and when you close it, it leaves you with a book-hangover.

I love the balance between drama and romance that the author brings to the story: the serious topic of domestic violence and the love story between two broken souls. The balance between feeling trapped, abused, with no hope and no future and the feeling to find hope, love and protection.
“As you well know, Alex, the very nature of scars is that they never disappear, but they fade into something less noticeable, like white noise. We might even have days when we forget that they exist, but they’re always there if you choose to go looking for them.”
The characters and the story are intense and well written, with the right amount of emotional heartbreaking scenes, romance and mistery, with twists and turns that make Inescapable an amazing book.

A story of domestic violence and survival. A story of hope and love for all the women that think to not have a choice, for all the women that live in darkness and desperation. To that women: there is light, there is hope, there is love. Find your strength, be a tiger! Only love is INESCAPABLE.

“Why tiger?”
“Because they’re beautiful and graceful, but they’re also fierce and deadly when anyone threatens them of their young. They have an inner strength inside that soft looking exterior. I thought it was appropriate for you.”
