GENRE: Romance Contemporary Fiction

Book 2: The Royal Wedding (Summer 2017)

Enough laughs to satisfy fans of Bridget Jones. Enough sparkly shoes and breathtaking ball gowns for fans of Cinderella…
Twenty-eight-year-old Tessa Sharpe, a.k.a. The Royal Watchdog, hates everything about Prince Arthur. As far as she’s concerned, he’s an arrogant, lazy leech on the kingdom of Avonia. When he shocks the nation by giving her the keys to the castle in an attempt to boost his family’s dismal public approval ratings, Tessa has no choice but to accept and move in for two months. It’s lust at first site, but there’s no way she can give in to her feelings—not if she wants to have a career or a shred of pride left when her time at the palace ends.
Ultra-private, ultra-hot Crown Prince Arthur has always gotten by on his charm. But that won’t be enough now that the royal family is about to be ousted from power once and for all. When Prince Arthur has to rely on the one woman in the kingdom who hates him most, he must learn that earning the love of a nation means first risking his heart…
Can two natural enemies find their forever in each other’s arms, or will they ruin each other to save themselves?

I loved Full Hearts Series by MJ Summers, and this book is a little bit different, from that series. It’s between a rom-com and a fairy tale, and I loved it.

This book is the first in the Crown Jewels Romance series.

Tessa lives in a small reign. She used to be a journalist, but after losing her job she turns in a blogger. She blogs about everything  anti-monarchy, telling awful things about the Royal family. When the citizen are called to decided  the if they want to abolish the monarchy, the Prince himself will take advantage of his worst enemy: Tessa’s blog.

Prince Arthur decides to invite Tessa to live at the Royal Palace for two months, with the intent to prove her that she’s wrong. If he can convince her to change her mind he will save the Crown.

Tessa accepts as she’s sure that all her bad opinions will only be confirmed.

But Tessa and Prince Arthur do not expect to turn in a modern Cinderella and Prince Charming.

I loved this story, full of humor and romance. I’ve laughed so much! Chapter 4 is hilarious J and the end is worthy of the best fairy tale.

I loved the side characters like Grandma, The Princess Dowager and Dexter the pig… can you believe that the Prince’s pet is a pig? And Nikki, Tessa’s best friend.

In this books there are great romantic scenes (and some steamy ones…), that will turn your heart lighter and your smile wider.

MJ Summers never disappoints me!

Can’t wait for the sequel.

 Prince Arthur:
When we reach the vault room, there are two guards standing at the door. Normally there is just one, sitting on the inside; but for nights like tonight, there are a total of six. I nod, and one of them opens the door.
“Good evening, fellows,” I say.
“Good evening, Your Highness.”
Once inside the room, we go through the same routine with the other four men. I go to the keypad and press the code, then hold my face in front of the camera for a retina scan. When I look down at Tessa, she actually looks impressed.
“A little Bond-esque, no?” I ask.
“Come on, Moneypenny, let’s get you something for that beautiful neck of yours.” I tug her hand and pull her in with me before she can say no.
She’s already shaking her head, but I hold up one finger. “I can see those Sharpe family brains of yours going to work on ten different reasons why you won’t borrow a necklace, but I have already prepared counterarguments, and since we are now twelve minutes behind schedule, please allow me. One, they’re already paid for, some of them hundreds of years ago, so it’s not coming out of anyone’s taxes. Two, like the books in the library, they’re going to waste in here. Three, for the first time in my life, I want to share something with someone else—someone who deserves to feel like a queen, even if she’ll only allow herself that for one measly little evening. Four, I have this fantasy of seeing you in only the jewels. Maybe the heels could stay.”
Tessa laughs and her cheeks go pink. “All right. One necklace, but make it a cheap one.”
I raise one eyebrow. “Define cheap.”
“Less than a kitchen stool.”
“How about less than a car?”
“I said ‘queen.’ Would a queen really wear a sofa around her neck?” I reach up and run my fingertips along the base of her neck.
“Would she wear a car?”
“Good point.” I lean down and kiss the crook of her neck. “How about this? You choose whichever one you like the best, and I won’t tell you how much it’s worth.”
I continue to brush my lips along her skin, then move up to her earlobe. The other night, I discovered a little spot at the base of her ear that turns her to putty. After a moment of some careful work, I get what I want. A breathy, little ‘okay’ escapes her lips.

Meet the Author

MJ Summers currently resides in Edmonton, Canada, with her husband, three young children, and their goofy dog. When she's not writing romance novels, she loves reading (obviously), snuggling up on the couch with her family for movie night (which would not be complete without lots of popcorn and milkshakes), and long walks in the woods near her house. MJ also spends a lot more time thinking about doing yoga than actually doing yoga, which is why most of her photos are taken ‘from above’. She also loves shutting down restaurants with her girlfriends. Well, not literally shutting them down, like calling the health inspector or something. More like just staying until they turn the lights off.
MJ is a member of the Romance Writers of America, as well as the International Women's Writing Guild.
MJ would love to hear from you! She does her best to respond to all inquiries and emails personally. If you would like her to attend a book club meeting via Skype please contact her to book a date.

Duke of Manhattan by Louise Bay

Release Date: May 16th

 Genre: Contemporary Romance

Duke of Manhattan, an all-new contemporary romance by Louise Bay is now LIVE!!!

I was born into British aristocracy, but I’ve made my fortune in Manhattan. New York is now my kingdom.
Back in Britain my family are fighting over who’s the next Duke of Fairfax. The rules say it’s me--if I’m married. It’s not a trade-off worth making. I could never limit myself to just one woman.
Or so I thought until my world is turned upside down. Now, the only way I can save the empire I built is to inherit the title I’ve never wanted -- so I need a wife.
To take my mind off business I need a night that’s all pleasure. I need to bury myself in a stranger.
The skim of Scarlett King’s hair over my body as she bends over . . .
The scrape of her nails across my chest as she screams my name . . .
The bite of her teeth on my shoulder just as we both reach the edge . . .
It all helps me forget.
I just didn’t bargain on finding my one night stand across the boardroom table the next day.
She might be my latest conquest but I have a feeling Scarlett King might just conquer me.
A sexy, standalone romance.

About the Author:

USA Today bestselling author, Louise Bay writes sexy, contemporary romance novels - the kind she likes to read. Her books include the novels Faithful and Hopeful and the novella series' The Empire State Series, What the Lightning Sees and Calling Me. The novels and together the series are stand-alone although there are some overlapping characters. Ruined by romantic mini-series of the eighties, Louise loves all things romantic. There's not enough of it in real life so she disappears into the fictional worlds in books and films. Louise loves the rain, the West Wing, London, days when she doesn't have to wear make-up, being on her own, being with friends, elephants and champagne. Corrie Deschamps, injured army veteran, knows the night with Griff Broderick was only a one night thing but the stubborn man’s refusal to accept his help has Corrie frustrated. Was Griff really so ashamed to admit he was with a man? But then Corrie stumbles into a life he never expected, with a man he thought he’d never see again: his brother, Raff McMahon. He tries to forget the one night he spent with Griff Broderick, the greatest night of his life.
Another meeting, at De’ath of You Enterprise headquarters, brings them together again. Corrie’s reaction is not one Griff, or the owners of De’ath of You, expected. Refusing to have anything to do with him, Corrie storms off.
Griff knows how hard he is going to have to work to prove himself to Corrie, to get his forgiveness for rejecting him and his help. How can he prove Corrie is the man for him? That he will never want another person, male or female.
Corrie doesn’t trust Griff, never believing the gay-for-you premise, but he wants him. Corrie’s body yearns for him. Can he get over his fears and accept him into his life, and into his heart?
Will Griff be prepared to be seen with another man? Will he accept his sexuality? What happens when he gets bored and wants to return to the race track and MotoGP? Is there a place for Corrie in that lifestyle?
It’s time for them to man up and claim the love and life they want.

This is a gay love story and involves hot, steamy sex between two men and is therefore recommended for readers over the age of eighteen.

I watch the sleazy girl as her eyes light, and, with hardly a glance in my direction, she traipses away with Pipes. He looks over and winks. I know that wink: he has no plans to introduce her to Casey. I laugh out loud as a huge frame bumps into me there and I feel the slop of cold beer drench my shirt.
“Whoa, sorry, man, it’s a tight squeeze in here tonight.” The bright blue eyes twinkle mischievously at me as his smile sends a jolt through me. Okay, that’s new, but I’m buzzing and not because of any alcohol, simply high from the win.
“Hey, no problem, it’s bound to happen, it’s crazy in here tonight.” I smile back, what the fuck! This guy throws beer over me and I’m fine?
“I’m really sorry; please, let me buy you a drink.” His smile draws me close to him, what the hell is going on? But, damn if he doesn’t smell good.
“I’d like that, thank you. I’m Griff.” I smile back and hold out my hand. He laughs and grabs it, I can feel the rough hardened skin grasp mine and the feeling sends bolts of electricity through my body, straight to my dick. Fuck! What is happening here?
“I think everyone knows who you are, but it’s great to meet you, Griff. I’m Corrigan, well, Corrie to my friends.” I watch a gorgeous blush spread up his neck and over his cheeks.
“Okay then, Corrie,” I wink, “shall we take a seat?” Did I just wink at a hot dude? Fuck, did I just think he was hot?
I guide him over to the roped-off section, two burly men, dressed in black, standing either side of it. Noticing he has a slight limp, I slow my gait for him to keep up. The men greet me with a nod and the one on the right unhooks the clasp of the thick, red rope to open it for us. I lead Corrie through to the alcoves, lining one side of the club, exclusive to the riders and their guests.
I take the few steps up to the half level and sit down on the dark leather seats, moving up to make room for Corrie to join me. I watch a smile spread across his face and a chuckle escapes him as he focuses on me again.
“Why were you slumming it up against the bar when you could’ve been here?” His eyes widen as he gets a good look around.
“Yeah, it’s not really my scene, it’s normally full of dicks just taking their pick of the girls dancing down there.” I shrug and look at the scantily-clad girls desperate to be noticed.
“Oh, yeah, nor mine, although it’s been a while since I’ve been anywhere like this.” A strange look of loss crosses his features.
“Been away?” Then, as a server comes up to take our order, I ask, “What do you want, Corrie?”
He peers up as if he’s been miles away. “Oh, just a beer for me, please.” He smiles at the pretty girl and, damn, that sends a sharp pain to my chest.
She walks away to fetch us two beers.
“So, how come you’ve been away from all of this?” I wave my hand in the direction of the club.
“Oh, Afghanistan has been my home for a while.” He smiles sadly, there’s more to it than this, but who am I to pry?
“Thank you for your service. You must be very proud.” I smile, I want this man to like me. I don’t know why though.
“No, I don’t think killing people is ever something to be proud of.” His low voice and sad words have me reaching out to touch him. My hand covers his and his eyes shoot up to mine.
“I’m sorry, it was a dumb thing for me to say. I’m always saying dumb things when I’m nervous.” God! I’m jabbering away. Shut the fuck up, Griff. Get a grip.
“Why should you be nervous? This is your party, you’re Griff Broderick, World Champion again! That’s huge, man.” This time, Corrie’s smile is happier.
“Yeah? I don’t know, there’s something about you that makes me nervous.” It’s my turn to lower my voice. I notice he hasn’t moved his hand away from mine. In fact, he turns it over so his fingers link with mine.
“I get that, you’re doing something to me I never expected.” Corrie’s eyes bore into mine.
“What’s that?” I swallow hard, almost dreading his answer.
“You’re the great Griff Broderick, always surrounded by beautiful women. I didn’t expect you to be interested in me.”
“Neither did I, fuck! You’re making me think and want things I’ve never even considered before.” I feel a blush spreading across my cheeks and I duck my eyes down, away from him. Why the hell am I am saying these things? “Shit, I can’t believe I’ve just said that to you.”
“And what’s that? What do I make you want?” Corrie’s husky voice hits me and my dick shoots to attention.
“Jeez, this is gonna sound crazy but I want you.” I stutter the words, not believing I said that out loud.

Author Bio

Sloan Johnson is a big city girl trapped in a country girl’s life. While she longs for the hustle and bustle of New York City or Las Vegas, she hasn’t yet figured out how to sit on the deck with her morning coffee, watching the deer and wild turkeys in the fields while surrounded by concrete and glass.

When she was three, her parents received their first call from the principal asking them to pick her up from school. Apparently, if you aren’t enrolled, you can’t attend classes, even in Kindergarten. The next week, she was in preschool and started plotting her first story soon after.

Later in life, her parents needed to do something to help their socially awkward, uncoordinated child come out of her shell and figured there was no better place than a bar on Wednesday nights. It’s a good thing they did because this is where she found her love of reading and writing. Who needs socialization when you can sit alone in your bedroom with a good book?

Now, Sloan is a tattooed mom with a mohawk and two kids. She’s been kicked out of the PTA in two school districts and is no longer asked to help with fundraisers because she’s been known to lose herself with a good book and forget she has somewhere to be.
