COMING SOON: Grey by E.L. James

TITLE: Grey

AUTHOR: E.L. James

SERIE: Fifty Shades #4

Expected publication: June 18th 2015 by Vintage

See the world of Fifty Shades of Grey anew through the eyes of Christian Grey.

In Christian's own words, and through his thoughts, reflections, and dreams, E L James offers a fresh perspective on the love story that has enthralled millions of readers around the world.

Christian Grey exercises control in all things; his world is neat, disciplined, and utterly empty—until the day that Anastasia Steele falls into his office, in a tangle of shapely limbs and tumbling brown hair. He tries to forget her, but instead is swept up in a storm of emotion he cannot comprehend and cannot resist. Unlike any woman he has known before, shy, unworldly Ana seems to see right through him—past the business prodigy and the penthouse lifestyle to Christian’s cold, wounded heart.

Will being with Ana dispel the horrors of his childhood that haunt Christian every night? Or will his dark sexual desires, his compulsion to control, and the self-loathing that fills his soul drive this girl away and destroy the fragile hope she offers him?

This book is intended for mature audiences.

  1. I haven't read Fifty Shades of Grey and I never will! I"m too angry of the way the author behaved, the fact that she STOLE the characters from another author and then "payed her off" when she didn't have any other choice (and she already made a TON of money and had a big publisher) also I'm angry that though she STOLE from another author she doesn't allow Fanfic which shows exactly the person that she is, she doesn't mind making money of someone else s success but she won't allow others to make money out of her (god forbid!) also the fact that she "forgot" to check carefully what BDSM actually IS and how it actually WORKS shows me she is a poor substitute to a real author. I find it horrible that women find it sexy to be abused by a man. I don't mind women (or men) who enjoy being a sub or enjoy being in a D/s relationship, but fantasizing about a WRONG kind of relationship while trying to act like something else (responsible BDSM) drives me freakin' mad! Also, people are saying the writing is very poor. About that I know very little but all in all this is "mommy porn" and I won't look at it as nothing else. This is what happens when you don't know about better options, that's the way I see it. Now everyone is reading them because everyone is talking about it. But I don't think it deserves the hype.

  2. oh!!! also I think that taking money from people for the same book from a different POV is simply WRONG! It can be a bonus novella or something cheaper or a freebe but re-telling a whole book? yeah that shows how much she is about the money and nothing else.

  3. This will be the more discussed (in a bad way) book of the Year. I agree with you that the author doesn’t know absolutely nothing about BDSM.

    1. My problem is most people have rather positive things to say about it (because they don't know the background and don't know anything about BDSM). One of my friends rarely reads, but she DID read Fifty Shades because "everyone is talking about it" :/ SO many good book, you and I know ;) There aren't enough hours a day to read our list of books yet people are reading these because of the hype and because of the publicity (positive or negative) it angers me, I can't even express how much! Think about all those amazing authors we read that have to work in other jobs to keep themselves above the water and she is swimming in millions for no good reason.
